Trappist Rochefort 10 Belgian Quadrupel Ale- 11.3% ABV (Produced by Abbaye Notre-Dame de Saint-Rémy Belgium)
Appearance: brownish ale with amber hues, thin khaki colored head and decent carbonation
Aroma: bready, with notes of sweet molasses and dried dark fruit
Taste: dried dark fruit such as fig, raisin and a smidge of cherry, malty biscuit, chocolate with smooth finish
Body: moderate mouthfeel and heavy carbonation with a dry finish
Overall: Trappistes Rochefort 10 is a quintessential Belgian Quadruple to try. Reverently made by Trappist Monks as they strive for excellence in their monastic work, and boy do they get it right. This is one that many others would and will try to model.
That looks/sounds amazing. The glass is pretty epic as well.
It is absolutely a must try for Trappist Ales and probably one of the most readily available in Bottle Shops. A large part of the experience of the beer is in the aroma so the proper glassware is a neccesity. Hit me up if you get the opportunity to try it and let me know your take on it.
Will do.
