La Trappe Trappist Quadrupel Belgian Quad- 10% ABV 22 IBU
Purchased at Grapes & Hops III
Appearance: dark amber with decent white head on the pour and stayed around for a while
Aroma: belgian candied sugar, mild banana, slight caramel
Taste: caramel, slight tootsie roll chocolate, dark fruit fig, almost fig newton, bready, dry balanced finish
Body: the thicker side of moderate mouthfeel with moderate to heavy carbonation
Overall: Another great example of a Trappist Belgian Quad made under the auspices of Monks. If you enjoy the Rochefort 10 then this is another great beer to try, similar but with it’s own unique character.
