Hometown Hops Passport Brewery Tour

IMG_0702Saturday I had the opportunity to join my Blogging Community (Fayetteville, NC Blogger Network) for another adventure out and about in Fayetteville. If you haven’t seen these Hometown Hops passports yet then you need to pick one up at one of our five local breweries or directly at the Fayetteville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau.

These sharp little passports are your introduction to some excellent local beer. Inside is a page dedicated to each of our local five breweries; Lake Gaston Brewing Co., Huske Hardware House Restaurant and Brewery, Bright Light Brewing Co., Dirtbag Ales, and Mash House Brewing Company. Here’s the fun part… Go to each of the corresponding breweries over the rest of April, April is Officially NC Beer Month, and each one will give you a cool stamp in your passport for trying their beer. Once you have completed your tour either email your complete passport or stop by the FACVB at 245 Person Street, downtown Fayetteville, and receive a prize. It’s just that simple.

So we did all of the breweries on Saturday and it was a blast, though I would recommend two things, moderation & a designated driver. Most of all, enjoy this great way to connect with our local breweries. Ask a ton of questions, try several of their beers, ask for others opinions and experiences, get to know this amazing Fayetteville Community over a frothy pint of ale.
